Lifelong lovers of the game— Grant and dad Greg,

My personal basketball career spans over three decades. I started playing organized basketball in 4th grade but my memories of playing basketball start before that. My family’s home was always the house that had a group of people playing at our front yard hoop. I played middle school, high school, and some college before realizing that my real passion is training and coaching. I always had the eye to know exactly what needed to be done on the court, I just had to come to grips with the fact that my body couldn’t always do it. I’ve had the pleasure of being a referee alongside my dad who taught me to be a lifelong lover of the game.

I’ve been involved with the game from every vantage point— as a water boy, player, trainer, coach, referee, and as a proud (and sometimes nervous) dad watching from the stands. I love that the skills basketball teaches us and our kids don’t end on the court—they help us…

I have two daughters, Sydnee and Jordyn, that I’ve coached since they were little. Jordyn is finishing her Senior year at Vista Ridge and has accepted a scholarship to play basketball for Bethel College in Newton, Kansas. Sydnee continues to play AAU basketball and is looking forward to playing her first year of Middle School ball next year.

I’ve been training boys and girls for 16 years from elementary school all the way to varsity level in High School. I’ve coached several boys and girls to become college level players. My focus is always strong fundamentals and attention to every detail. Repetition, consistency, and high-level understanding of the game are the foundation of my training because it’s all about the process.
